My student accidentally went to the Quizbot home page and it asked them for an activation code.

Quizbot is prompting my student for an Activation code.

Quizbot is a tool for Admins/Educators that have a Quizbot subscription. 

If a student that uses a username/password for log in goes to the Quizbot home page it will recognizes they have a Universal account for a Don Johnston product and ask for an activation code.  

There are no online student Quizbot accounts. The student can just close the browser tab and continue using the Don Johnston Universal tool(s) they have a subscription for.
