For testing security, when in Test Mode, the App is in Locked Down Mode. *

Locked Down Mode means that users cannot save, see previous writings, or activate the device's camera.  It also restricts exporting the writings (If your state requires student answers to be printed, the print option is made available).

Co:Writer's Chrome App is placed into Kiosk Mode on a Chromebook so access to other tools (or the internet) are restricted.

While in testing mode, the App is active in full-screen mode only.  No student writings ever touch any servers, and all writings are stored locally.  Once the student logs out of the App, all their writings will be irretrievably deleted. Please print or transcribe the writings before logging out so the student's work is not lost.

In the event that the computer crashes, runs out of batteries, etc... students will be able to retrieve the writings so long as the student has remained logged into the app.
